School in Ruislip

The brief was to create modern, smart, functional layout, with completely self-contained floor to ceiling cubicles, with central vanity unit for hand washing, providing for better flow and enabling CCTV to cover the main space in the washroom.

The  very old and vandalised cubicles, ceiling, flooring and sanitaryware was all stripped out for a completely fresh start.

We adjusted the drainage, plumbing and electrics for the new layout, installed stud walls with ply for strength and sound reduction to create the cubicles, SGL duct panels hide the soil pipes and cistern behind the back to wall pans.

A new suspended ceiling, LED lighting switched by PIR were installed.

The walls are clad with hygienic wall cladding with welded joints for a superior finish, the floor was tiled and the doors are prefinished oak with stainless steel ironmongery.

The central vanity unit has semi recessed basins set into a post formed solid grade laminate top with sensor taps for hygienic hand washing, the toilets also all have Sensor operated flushing to minimise contamination and encourage flushing by a simple wave of the hand!

All finished with decoration and professional mastic installation.

This was all complete in the summer holiday on time and creates a space that can be used as male, female or unisex.

This washroom was transformed from a worn out, unpleasant, poorly lit area,  to a bright, clean attractive washroom well received by the students
